Overview
- General Information
Phi
Phi Island is a year round diving destination. Even the so called
"monsoon season" is not a period of torrential rain all day
long - but rather it is characterized by short but powerful downpours
followed by bright sunny skies. However, the best season and sea conditions
are from October through May. Water temperatures generally hover around
30°Celsius year round, making a 3mm Shorty or Lycra suit more than
sufficient.
Within a Day Trips reach of Phi
Phi Island are more then 20 Dive Sites (see map). Phi
Phi Scuba Diving Center is the only Facility on the island
that has 4 custom-built Dive Boats and is therefore able to offer 4
different Dive Trips every day - it is this choice that makes us
the premier Dive Operator on the island.
In general the Andaman Sea around
Phi Phi Island offers outstanding - world class - soft and hard corals,
and also because the Dive Sites are surrounded by a sandy bottom, not
integrated in endless reefs, the variety and density of the fishes for
the particular Dive Sites are excellent. For more about the marine life
to be found in Phi Phi's water please see our Photo Gallery.
