Information and Ferry schedules
Thailand
is a very tourism friendly country and travelling through the country
is simple due to the multiple forms of public transportation and efficient
scheduling . Everywhere you go you will find travel agents who can help
you get to where you want to go. Even when you arrive at your destination
the local Thai people will be happy to point you in the right direction.
Please find in the Table below all the
information concerning the boat schedules from Phuket and Krabi. If
you arrive at the airport in Phuket or Krabi you will have to take a
bus/taxi to the pier in Phuket Town or Krabi Town respectively. To get
to Phi Phi Island you need to take a ferry boat from either Phuket,
Krabi, Koh Lanta or Ao Nang.
From the two main points of entry to Thailand,
Bangkok and Had Yai, you can fly to Phuket or Krabi. The Bangkok-Phuket
route is served up to 10 times per day while the new Krabi airport currently
has 1 daily flight from Bangkok, with up to 3 scheduled flights on the
weekends. There are also flights from Koh Samui and Had Yai to Phuket.
However with the increasing popularity of the Phangnga Bay region (not
only Phi Phi Island but also Krabi, Koh Lanta, Ao Nang) there
will be more flights coming to Krabi in the near future.
You can also take a bus from all major
destinations in Thailand to get to Phuket or Krabi. But since there
are so many buses we can't possibly list all the schedules.
